Steve Assinder B.A.

Steve is currently Headmaster of a Preparatory School in the Twycross area where he lives with his wife and three children. In his time at King's Norton, Steve flourished as a very talented basketball player and represented the School and the City. Steve went on to play for the Birmingham Bullets Basketball Team and is still their only player to ever win the English Player of the Year award.

Steve is ranked 24th in the list of all time England International cap winners with 41 appearances. He also represented Great Britain.

Steve returned to the school in 2001 to present the awards at Presentation Evening. During his speech he said he was pleased to be back at his old school for the first time in 25 years and commented that the atmosphere of the building was every bit as vibrant as he remembered all that time ago!

Steve will be the Principal Guest at the Old Nortonians' Association Annual Dinner on Saturday 23rd March 2001.
