While having a random search through
the Internet, it was great to come across my old school and read some of the
personal experiences, history & latest news on the site. Many of the
teachers names mentioned bring back some memories, and it's good to see that
many who taught while I was a pupil are still there today, Messrs. Burgess,
Chapman, Hattersley, Vine & Mobley !
I attended from 1977 - 1982 and lived in Stirchley, Birmingham. I know live in
Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
Our Headmaster during my time at K.N.B.S. was Mr K.Hearne, who I always remember
as having great pride in the school and who was always keen to see the school
was the best in the area.
Some of the other teachers who I remember a re:
Mr Wright (Deputy Head & Music Teacher)
Mr Martin Barber (History, later to join the Police force)
Mr Faulkener (Geology)
Mr Bailey (Geography)
I do not see many old school pupils from the 'old' days, but a few I still see
are Rob Bagnell, Adrian & Mark Wilkes, Ian Hickey, Mark Kimnall to name but
a few.
I would love the chance to visit school in the future to see how it has changed,
reminisce about the old times & chat about how some of the pupil's I knew
progressed. Maybe a Saturday morning may be just the opportunity to organise
some official 'old boys' tours and get to know how people went on in later life?
I would welcome the opportunity to liase with school representatives on some of
the sporting activities I am now involved with.
