King's Norton Boys' School

King's Norton Boys' School is a Comprehensive Secondary School, providing a full range of courses up to university entrance level for almost 750 boys between the ages of 11 and 18.

The school’s admission number for Year 7 in September 2004 is 120.  As a Foundation School, KNBS uses the same admissions criteria as it did when it was an LEA school and we work closely with Birmingham LEA so that our pupils benefit fully from city-wide initiatives such as the Excellence in Cities programme.

The School is well known for its success in preparing boys for University and other Professional and Higher Education, but it is equally true that local employers recognise the quality of those who choose to go directly from school into employment.

The latest inspection of the School was carried out by OFSTED in January 2000, and the final report confirms that joining us is very attractive prospect, both for staff and boys.
