KNBS utilises a variety of industry standard and education specific software.

The Microsoft Office 2000 suite of applications provides the backbone for most ICT lessons whilst 2D Design Tools mirrors the complexity of CAD/CAM in industry whilst retaining ease of use.

All of our workstations run on a mixture of the Windows 95/98/XP environment and are controlled by the RM Community Connect network management software.

Internet and email connectivity are bought to students by the use of Internet Explorer 5 and Outlook Express whilst our school Intranet provides students with access to selective information.  A secure area for staff makes the distribution of information an easy task.

Networked Multimedia CD-ROMs provide high quality video and audio that complement our vast range of subject specific and whole school software.

Our Management Information System (MIS) is stabilised by the use of SIMS software, providing many integrated modules for student data, timetabling and accounting.
